Filip Janda studied dance at the Prague Conservatory of Dance in Czech Republic. After receiving his diploma there, his was chosen to join the selective class at Mannheim College of Performing Arts in Germany under the leadership of Vladimir Klos and Birgit Keil. For several years he was a member of the Bavarian State Ballet in Munich where he cooperated on various roles with a variety of artists and choreographers, such as William Forsythe, Mats Ek, Itzik Galili, and Simone Sandroni among others. Later he moved to Prague where he has been performing as a guest soloist for the Czech National Ballet appearing as Rotbart in Swan Lake or Espada in Don Quijote to name a few. He has also worked with the company of the world renowned Laterna Magika. Filip has recently moved to Australia and since then has been cooperating as coach and instructor with The Australian Conservatoire of Ballet, Victorian College of the Arts – Secondary School, Cecchetti Ballet Victoria, and Melbourne School of Classical Dance.
